PURPOSE:To protect an output stage transistor at the time of short circuit braking a motor. CONSTITUTION:The motor driver circuit comprises a PNP transistor Q1 having emitter connected with a power supply terminal, an NPN transistor Q2 having collector connected with the power supply terminal and emitter connected with an output terminal 2, and a PNP transistor Q3 having collector connected with the output terminal 2 and emitter connected with a ground terminal, all of which are constituted on one substrate. An N region is provided as the collector region of a parasitic transistor Q5 having the substrate as the base while furthermore a PNP transistor Q6 having emitter connected with the power supply terminal is provided wherein the base of the Q6 is connected with the N region and the collector of the Q6 is connected through a conductor with the base of the Q1. |
