A power supply for an electric flash comprises, including a battery A, a voltage converter B constituted by a blocking oscillator of which the coupling transformer feed via a rectifier 17, a capacitor 18 which is dischargeable into a flash tube 27. The current supply from the source is automatically interrupted by the diminution of bias to a switching transistor 12 as the capacitor 18 is charged and the time of interruption is controlled by an adjustable resistor in shunt with the transistor or (as shown) across a winding of the transformer. <IMAGE> |
