PURPOSE:To maintain the processing capacity of a developing solution for a long time and to reduce an amount of waste solution by immersing the photosensitive copying material in a specified developing solution and removing first and second organic coating layers in a rinsing step. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive copying material is formed by coating a support with the first photosensitive coating layer to be lowered in solubility in the developing solution by irradiation with active rays, and with a water- insoluble polymer emulsion (polymer latex) having film-forming ability to form the second organic coating layer. This photosensitive copying material is imagewise exposed and subjected to development processing. At that time, this material is immersed in the developing solution diffusible into the second organic layer but substantially not dissolving it, and the first and second layers in the nonimage parts are removed in the following rinse step. This photosensitive copying material is characterized by having the 2 organic coating layers on the support and having at least one of them composed of a diazonium compound and the photosensitive layer lowering in solubility in the developing solution by irradiation with the active rays. |
