FERMENTATIVE PRODUCTION OF POLYSACCHARIDES

PURPOSE:To provide a method for efficiently depositing polysaccharides from an aqueous solution of the polysaccharides and purifying the polysaccharides. CONSTITUTION:A fermentation liquor containing a microorganism added to a culture medium ingredient is placed in a fermenter 2 of a circulating device composed of the fermenter 2, a pump mill 4 and pipes connecting them and the fermentation liquor is taken out of the fermenter 2 while stirring the fermentation liquor. The taken out fermentation liquor is then mixed with a rotating turbine of the pump mill 4 and an intermeshing cutter of a fixed cutter with a rotating cutter and subsequently returned to the fermenter 2.
