PURPOSE:To reduce production of noise of a synchronizing signal due to noise in a luminance signal whose frequency is comparatively low by providing a noise reduction circuit to the generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:When noise whose frequency is low takes place in a luminance signal and noise is included in an output of a synchronizing signal generating circuit because the noise is not eliminated by a low pass filter, a noise reduction circuit 3 provided to a post-stage uses a counter circuit to discriminate a synchronizing signal from noise and uses a noise masking circuit so as to eliminate noise caused between horizontal drive synchronizing signals. Moreover, the noise reduction circuit not only reduces the noise caused in the luminance signal but also noise caused in a synchronizing separator circuit. |
