PURPOSE:To more efficiently generate a picture by saving the waste of a memory due to processing to give the effect of a focus. CONSTITUTION:The picture data of the z-value, the attribute, and the color of a plane element where light beams from each picture element intersect first are generated by a picture data generating means 10, and these are stored in the memories 11 to 13 respectively. A color increment value calculating means 14 reads out the contents of the memories 11 to 13, and calculates the increment value of the color due to the effect of the focus, and stores this calculated result in the memory 15. A picture adding means 16 sums the color and the increment value of the color of each picture element read out of the memories 13 and 15, and stores the picture data added with the effect of the focus in the memory 15. This processing is executed repeatedly, and the picture data added with the effect of the focus stored in the memory 15 is displayed by a picture display means 17. |
