PURPOSE:To offer a developing device where the degree of freedom in designing the position of a concentration sensor and a stirring roller is enhanced, and where toner is prevented from adhering to the surface of the concentration sensor with simple constitution without increasing a load on a motor which drives the stirring roller. CONSTITUTION:The developing device provided with the concentration sensor 2 for detecting the concentration of developer in a developing device main body 1 and the stirring roller 3 for stirring the developer in the main device 1 is constituted by providing an impeller 4 driven by the flow of the developer which is formed by the roller 3 and a cleaning tool 5 cleaning the surface of the sensor 2 by interlocking with the impeller 4 in the main body 1. |
