PURPOSE:To obtain an area monitor for a radiation monitoring area which is hardly disturbed by electromagnetism, has no restriction of setting place of the survey meter and no possibility of radiation dose on a measuring worker, by using an infrared space transmission method for transmitting the measured data. CONSTITUTION:A survey meter is constituted of a radiation detector 1, an amplifier 2 to amplify the output signal from the radiation detector 1, a comparator 3 to convert the output signal from the amplifier 2 to digital signal, a microcomputer 4 to count and calculate the output signal from the comparator 3 into dose rate, a memory part 5 to store the dose rate value, an indicator 6 to indicate the dose rate value and an infrared luminous LED 7 for space transmission of the data. |
