PRODUCTION OF UNIAXIALLY STRETCHED POLYESTER SHEET

PURPOSE:To produce the uniaxially stretched polyester sheet free from uneven stretching and improved in rigidity. CONSTITUTION:A method for producing uniaxially stretched polyester sheet which is characterized by using nip rollers in pairs 11, 11' and 12, 12' as feed and receiving stretching rollers, respectively; providing stretching lines between such roller pairs across the almost entire width of a noncrystal polyester sheet; and subjecting the polyester sheet to uniaxial stretching in a low multiplying factor.
