PURPOSE:To easily recognize the meaning of an obtained translated word by displaying the translated word and simultaneously the other headword when the translated word is reversely translated as the headword. CONSTITUTION:While a first control means 104 retrieves a first dictionary means 102 and displays the translated word of a second language corresponding to the headword of a first language obtained as a result, the instruction of reverse conversion is inputted from an input means 100, and one of the translated word of the displayed second langauge is selected. A second control means 105 retrieves the translated word of the first langauge corresponding to the second language is retrieved from a second dictionary means 103 and displays it in a display means 101. Namely, the translated word of the headword and the translated word when the translated word is inversely translated as the headword are displayed. Thus, a user can immediately judge whether the translated word of the second langauge of the headword of the inputted first language agrees with his will or not. |
