PURPOSE:To execute the optical frequency allocation without crosstalk at a high density by using a prescribed medium for a frequency reference and employing a relevant optical interferometer for a sub-standard reference so as to set a frequency of a local oscillation light source for transmission and reception. CONSTITUTION:Both one end optical outputs of a reference laser section 1 and a stabilized laser section 3 are multiplexed with a photocoupler 4 and the result is sent to a ring resonator 21 as an optical interferometer of an interferometer section 2. In this case, one light radiating from a semiconductor laser 11 passes through a wavelength reference medium 12 absorbing only the light at a prescribed wavelength, its transmitted light is photoelectric-converted at a light receiving device 13, fed back to the laser 11, and its stabilized light is made incident in the resonator 21 via an optical fiber 41 and the photocoupler 4. The oscillating wavelength of the semiconductor laser 31 is stabilized by using the resonator 21. Thus, the resonator 21 is used for a sub-standard reference and plural stabilizing laser sections 3... are coupled with the interferometer 2 through optical couplers 4, 5 to form a light source for plural heterodyne system and a light source for a direct detection system. |
