PURPOSE:To offer the production method of lens for protection glasses against laser, the lens having enough high optical density to cut laser light and having scratching resistance, high Abbe's number and heat resistance. CONSTITUTION:A monomer mixture essentially comprising components (a)-(d) is molded and polymerized. These components are (a) methyl methacrylate, (b) at least one kind of hydrophilic monomer selected from (meth)acrylic acid and (meth)acrylate containing hydroxyl groups, (c) polyfunctional monomer polymerizable with (a) and (b), and (d) oil-soluble dye and/or absorbent for near infrared ray. The obtd. lens is subjected to plasma treatment to which a coating compsn. essentially comprising components (e)-(g) is applied and hardened to form a hardened film. These components are (e) org. silicon compd. having a silanol group and an epoxy group, (f) colloidal silica and (g) acetylacetone metal complex. |
