<p>PURPOSE:To realize display of content of program reserved for recording on the tape used for split recording by detecting the remaining amount of the magnetic tape at the time of recording, and changing the signal to the video signal of a recorded program after outputting a display information with a recording control instruction to an external magnetic recording and playback apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A tape condition detector 18 of a magnetic recording and playback apparatus 10 detects a predetermined time from the remaining amount of magnetic recording tape, a controller 11 monitors the operating condition of a magnetic recording and playback apparatus 21 from a control instruction transmitting and receiving circuit 23 via a control instruction transmitting and receiving circuit 20. As a result, when the apparatus 21 determines possibility of recording, the controller 11 controls a video signal output circuit 17 to output the video signal to a video signal output circuit 19 from a display information generating circuit 13. Simultaneously, the controller 11 issues a recording instruction to the apparatus 21 and record the display information via a video signal input circuit 24. After a constant period, the controller 11 changes a signal to the video signal sent from the video signal input circuit 15 by controlling the video signal selection circuit 17. Thereby, the display information can be recorded for a constant period on the magnetic recording tape of the apparatus 21.</p> |
