<p>PURPOSE:To attain efficient compression without unnatural picture quality deterioration even when a luminance signal and a color signal of a color picture signal are divided to plural channels. CONSTITUTION:A color picture signal is divided into plural channels by a channel divider 4, compressed independently by coding processing sections 7, 8 and a coding data output section outputs the result altogether. A luminance signal 1, a color signal 2 and a color signal 3 are divided so that the respective data quantity is uniform among channels.</p> |
