PURPOSE: To provide a winding bobbin for optical fiber filament capable of compensating the stress caused in a winding pack by the temperature change because of a difference in thermal expansion coefficient. CONSTITUTION: This winding bobbin is provided with a base 26 made of a material having a coefficient of thermal expansion lower than that of metal, a base layer 30 arranged on the surface around the base made of the compliant material, first and second flanges 32 which are arranged in end parts on both sides of the base 26 to limit a winding pack 16 between them and are attached so as to limit its movement in the direction approximately parallel with the longitudinal axis of the base, and a spring 40 which is coupled to surfaces of flanges 32 to elastically press the flanges toward the pack. |
