<p>PURPOSE:To improve the capacity to transmit torque by taking back-up rolls with large diameter as driving rolls. CONSTITUTION:In a 14 stage rolling mill of which a pair of upper and lower work rolls 2 which are brought into contact with a rolled stock 1 are respectively supported with two 1st intermediate rolls 3, each of which is brought into contact with one 2nd intermediate roll 4, and also each of the aforementioned 1st and 2nd intermediate rolls 3, 4 is supported with the back-up rolls 5, 6, the back-up rolls 5, 6 on the right and left sides, with which the aforementioned 1st intermediate roll 3 is supported, are taken as the driving rolls.</p> |
