PURPOSE:To eliminate returning light to an input optical fiber and to effectively utilize a wavelegth band to be multiplexed. CONSTITUTION:Plural input optical fibers 14-18 are arrayed successively and linearly perpendicularly to the groove direction of a diffraction grating 11, which is arranged obliquely to the optical axis of the input optical fibers 14-18 and one output optical fiber 13 is arranged at one side in the perpendicular direction about the array of the input optical fibers 14-18. Diffracted light is distributed linearly in parallel to the input optical fiber array, so the returning light to the input optical fibers is eliminated and the output optical fiber is not included in the input optical fiber array, so the wavelength band to be multiplexed is effectively utilized. |
