In a gang drilling machine, multi head (5) formed with plural tool spindles (5a) is mounted on the spindle shaft (4) driven by the spindle motor (3) and mounted on a feed table (2), which is moved on a slider base (1). The spindle shaft is inserted into a split spindle equipped with transmission gears (6a,6b). One of the transmission gears (6a) is engaged with a gear (7a) of a hydraulic reducing motor (7). And the other gear (6b) is engaged with a gear (8a) of an encoder for positioning in order to detact a dividing position and activate the hydraulic reducing motor, thereby dividing tools. This multi head turret makes tool changing time shorter than before, and installing area smaller.
