The invention concerns a power line switch placed in connection with an electrical pole 1 or the like by which the electrical current in the power line can be shut off. In the power line switch the electrical current is taken via current path elements 6, 7 connected to the power line which in order to cut off the current can be separated from each other using a power cut-off mechanism. The power cut-off mechanism comprises a rod 12 by means of which the power line switch can be operated from the bottom of the electricity pole. A power cut-off device is connected to the rod which is a manually operated handle 15 and/or a remote-controlled cut-off device 16, 18 operated by an electric motor. According to the invention the function device 16 in the cut-off device 18 operated by remote control is a spindle motor which is positioned as an extension of the rod 12 in such a way that the spindle motor and the rod together form a rigid spacing piece 12, 16, 17 during the use of the manual handle 15 and in such a way that during use of the cut-off device operated by remote control this is achieved by changing the length of the rod using the spindle motor. <IMAGE> |
