PURPOSE:To enable all data processors to use master data only by registering the master data in one master data file device. CONSTITUTION:When a request program 11 in a data processor 1 requests a master data access device 12 to send the master data, the access device 12 retrieves the characteristic master data file device 13 in the data processor 1. When there is no candidate for the requested master data in the file device 13, the access device 12 requests the master data transfer device 61 of a common master data file device 6 to transfer the master data through a network device 5. Consequently, the transfer device 61 retrieves a master data storage area 62 to take the master data candidate out, and then transfers it to the access device 12. The access device 12 receives the transferred master data candidate and passes it to the request program 11.
