Process for extracting metals with the aid of a fungal biomass in which the fungal biomass is continuously placed in contact in a reactor with a liquid containing the said metals and a solid-liquid separation is then performed, a part of the biomass is removed continuously, at least 80 % of the removed part of the biomass being returned to the reactor, and device for use, and application to the decontamination of effluents.
