Composition for surgical use, characterised in that it contains, per litre of water: - 0.2 g to 2 g of a chelating agent for metal salts, - an agent which is active on the phospholipid membranes of bacteria or viruses, - an agent which is active on the viral nucleocapsids or above all on the receptor sites of bacteria by binding chlorine atoms and, if desired, certain adjuvants such as sweeteners, flavours, cicatrising agents or isotonicity adjuvants and application, especially with the aid of a jar comprising an electrical wave of minimum level. <IMAGE>
