PURPOSE:To completely prevent the third person from using a terminal without previous notice by limiting the user of the terminal by fingerprint registration to omit the troublesome operation of ID or password input or the like for start of the use. CONSTITUTION:When a handset 51 is hooked off for the purpose of using a telephone set 81, a central control circuit 6 temporarily stops the function of a subscriber line interface 71 to make the telephone set 81 unusable and controls start of a sensor 1 through a fingerprint read sensor control circuit 3 to read the fingerprint of the third person. Read fingerprint data passes a fingerprint data storage memory control circuit 4 and is compared with preliminarily registered fingerprint data of the limited user; and if they coincide with each other, the function of the subscriber line interface 71 is restarted so that a call can be originated from the telephone set 81. If fingerprint data do not coincide, the function stop is not released to prevent call originating. When the third person gives up and hooks on the handset 51, central control circuit 6 releases the function stop. |
