PURPOSE:To shorten the switching time, or the cutting-back time at the time of release by using fault information for detecting directly a fault of a data processing unit side as a switching condition at the time of fault. CONSTITUTION:External input/output information 101 is subjected to data processing by data processing units 32, 33 through an external interface unit 11. The input/output information is allowed to branch into two with regard to the input direction, but in the output direction, a selecting circuit 16 is provided, and selects output information from data processing units 12, 13. For instance, in the case a fault is generated, when data is being delivered to the data processing unit 12, the selecting circuit 16 starts a detection processing of time-out on a communication protocol from an exchange of information, but since fault information 106 from the data processing unit 13 arrives already, it is read and switched immediately to the data processing unit 13 side. |
