The assistance device for the displacement of standardised loads is characterised in that it equips a lift truck (1) including, on a mobile chassis (2), support means (4) of the fork type or similar, intended to carry the said standardised loads, the said means being capable of being displaced with respect to the chassis (2) for loading and setting down the said loads, and in that it includes means (7, 8; 15, 16) for controlling the positioning with respect to the said support means (4), of a standardised load carried by the said support means (4) and/or the positioning of the said truck (1) with respect to the work zone in which the said loads are displaced and/or the positioning of the said support means (4) with respect to the chassis (2) of the said truck (1). <IMAGE>
