PURPOSE:To correct the grinding surfaces of a grind stone so that the grinding wheel always has a shape the same as that of new one by obtaining respective degrees of abrasion at first and second grinding surface so that the ratio between a first value which is obtained by adding a correction value to the degree of abrasion at the first grinding surface, and a second value which is obtained by adding a correction value to the degree of abrasion at the second grinding surface becomes constant, and by correcting the grinding wheel in accordance with these degrees of abrasion. CONSTITUTION:A computing means 200 calculates a height difference between the height of the part between a first grinding surface and a second grinding surface of a grinding wheel before abrasion and that after abrasion from positional data detected by a position detecting means 100, and then calculates degrees of abrasion on the grinding surfaces from this height difference. Further, correction values for the grinding surfaces 111, 112, 111, 112 are obtained so that a ratio between a first value which is obtained by adding a correction value to the degree of abrasion at the first grind surface, and a second value which is obtained by adding a correction value to the degree of abrasion at the second grinding surface becomes constant. The first and second grinding surfaces 111, 112 are corrected in accordance with these correction values, thereby it is possible to correct the grind surfaces 111, 112 which therefore always has a shape the same as that of a new one. |
