PURPOSE:To collect the gas energy exhausted from an adiabatic engine effectively at all times and use as the car driving force by converting the gas energy into electric power. CONSTITUTION:A power generator 3 is mounted on the rotary shaft of a turbo- charger 2 installed on an engine 1 of adiabatic structure, and the power from this generator 3 is converted into DC power by a power converter 4, and the resultant is used for charging a battery 5 or feeding power to motors 71-74 in direct coupling with wheels through a power controller 6. When this engine 1 is operated, it is put in a specified high-load condition, and at the peak with the load, the regenerative electric power given by the power converter 4 and/or the electric power charged on the battery 5 are fed to the motors so as to respond to the load.
