摘要 <p>Process and assembly to recover heat from moist gas, involves the level of moisture in the gas being first increased by passing through a humidifier with fluid before being delivered to a dehumidifier, and in which the heat released by dehumidifaction is then returned to the humidifier. Pref. a suitable assembly (X) operates to humidify (5) harmful gases as these pass through a number of membrane sacks (18) filled with microorganisms. Air (4) which is to be treated is drawn in (19) to the humidifier (1) where it is almost satd. by fluid (20) whose temp. is greater than that of the air. After passing through the sacks the moist air reaches the dehumidifier (6) whose temp. is held below that of the inflowing air. The dehumidifier acts as a condensor to collect the heat which is returned to the humidifier. The microorganisms in the sacks are pref. kept moist at all times. USE/ADVANTAGE - Prim. energy used in the humification process is recovered, and the loss of fluid is reduced. The process is suited for use in those places where quantities of gas must be humidified, such as in effluent air from tunnels, in factory plant, test installations, and chemical plant.</p>
