PURPOSE:To shorten the division processing time and to secure the even processing time with an instrument which repetitively subtracts a divisor from a dividend. CONSTITUTION:A divisor digit number output circuit 10 is provided to output the digit number of a divisor together with a dividend digit number output circuit 11, a means 12 which decides the subtracting frequency, a multiplier 13 which decides the subtraction initial value, a selector 14 which selects the subtraction initial value or a partial dividend, a subtractor 15 which decides the partial dividend initial value and the partial dividend, an adder 16 which stores the quotient, a plus/minus detecting circuit 17, a register 18 which stores the remainder, and an output circuit 19 which outputs the result of division. In such a constitution, the subtraction processing time is shortened and the processing time is evened. |
