The rotating head is formed from two hollow, truncated cone sections (6, 7) joined along there base to form a single body. To the inclined surfaces on the sides of the tool and on the plane leading surface, cutting tools (20) are fixed at a set height (h). The excavated material can exit through openings under cutting tools and is led back over the tools surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - Head shape and cutting blade arrangement allow for spoil to be removed.
