To move garments on hangers to a workstation, such as an automatic folder, certain garments are presented in alternating alignments in relation to the workstation by rotating the carrying hangers (20). After the garments have been transferred to the workstation, their empty hangers (20) are all brought into the same alignment as thehangers (20) for the garments before they are twisted for transfer.
