PURPOSE:To provide a personal identification telephone system which is excellent in handleability by making it possible to identify the personal number and to use the telephone set by approaching directly to the telephone set main body by users having IC cards and making it possible to use a telephone set main body by plural users simultaneously with small physical damage of the telephone set main body and IC card. CONSTITUTION:The personal identification telephone system has a card slot part 6 and a telephone set main body 2 which identifies the personal number and makes the call using available state in the state that an IC card 4 for personal identification is inserted into the card slot part 6. The communication between the IC card 4 and telephone set main body 2 is performed in a non- contact system and the personal number is identified by performing the communication in the non-contact system between a transmission and reception part 18 of a holder 16 and a transmission and reception part 14 of a dummy card 10 without being inserted into the card slot part 6 and stored in a holder 16 by the IC card 4 and by being inserted into the card slot part 6 by the dummy card 10.
