The valve seat and the valve spindle operated by a handwheel arranged with a sealing element are arranged in the connection piece (3). The supply and discharge flow for the water amount, to be measured by means of the known water meter wheel (27), is arranged at the feed gate valve connection piece (3). The i.d. of the connection piece (3) in the screwed-in position is at least the same size as the valve lower part (1). The valve upper part (2) is fitted on the top edge of the connection piece (3) which is screwed over a female screw (4) onto the valve lower part (1), secure and pressure tight for a stable water return flow. The inner riser (5) with the seal (12) is pressed across a riser clamp plate with a valve seat (6) fixed on the existing valve lower part (1a). The feed gate valve connection piece (3) designed as a casting or a forging has a fixing trunnion with a left hand thread (31a). USE/ADVANTAGE - Feed gate valve connection piece (3) for a water meter connection at a gate valve in a water line. Gives at least same flow width as existing gate valve. No cross-sectional narrowings due to water meter connection results leading to pressure/flow losses.
