PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of a heating roller and a pressuring roller caused by residual toner and the contamination of the back side of a transfer paper by the residual toner and to effectively save power. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a thermal fixing part 30 which is constituted to include a driving means for the heating roller 31 or the pressuring roller, and a control means 5 for on/off controlling a heating means(heater lamp) 33. When a cover opening/closing signal is inputted in a power save mode, the control means 5 holds the driving means(motor) 4 in a driving stopped state and the heating means 33 for the heating roller 31 in an off-state. |
