PURPOSE:To obtain a high quality thermal recording sheet which is high in sensitivity, little in stuck residue, and excellent in stability as the thermal recording sheet. CONSTITUTION:An intermediate layer of at least two layers having a pigment of at least 500ml/100g oil absorption as specified in JISK5101 method and a binder as main components is provided onto a base material and a thermal coloring layer is provided on said intermediate layer. 0.3wt% to 3wt% of carboxymethyl cellulose and/or hydroxyethyl cellulose to pigment in the intermediate layer are contained in the upmost layer of the intermediate layer. A high quality thermal recording sheet which is high in sensitivity, little in stuck residue, and excellent in stability for printing quality can be obtained. |
