<p>PURPOSE:To provide an EL printer head which has a high quality level print capability, by which the step-difference of a print image in the horizontal direction is not noticeable, and of which the processing prior to inputting of image data is simpler. CONSTITUTION:Respective light emitting elements CL-1, CL-2,...EL-n in a plurality of light emitting elements 1 which are arranged linearly are gathered into one group for each adjacent plural elements, connected to one of plural scanning lines 2, and driven. By doing this, for a figure to be printed, a straight line is expressed extending the length of light emitting elements which are gathered into one group, in the horizontal direction, and the step-difference in the vertical direction is for an approximate width for which the print 1 dot width is divided by the number of groups, and since the pitch in the horizontal direction for which the step-difference appears on the straight line becomes relatively long one, the step-difference becomes visually not noticeable. Also, the pre-process of the data for light emitting/non-emitting to be input becomes further simpler.</p> |
