PURPOSE:To obtain an epoxy resin composition, containing an epoxy resin as a substrate resin and a prescribed amount of a polyallylphenol having plural specific constituent units as a curing agent and excellent in heat resistance, toughness, flexibility, etc. CONSTITUTION:An epoxy resin composition containing (A) an epoxy resin as a substrate resin and further (B) a polyallylphenol having plural constituent units, expressed by the formula I (a is 1-4), preferably formula II (m is 0-4) in the molecule as a curing agent in an amount of 30-120 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. aforementioned component (A). The above-mentioned epoxy resin composition is excellent in crack resistance, mold releasability and hydrophobicity. Furthermore, a flexibilizer such as silicone-modified epoxy resin, butadiene/ acrylonitrile copolymer, polystyrene/polybutadiene/polystyrene-terminated block copolymer or ethylene/propylene-based terpolymer is preferably contained in an amount of 5-80 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. aforementioned component (A). |
