The fan blind is for a vehicle ring fan (1) with an inlet flow opening (4) having swivelling slats (6) fitted about the fan axis (6). The slats are arranged in a star shaped pattern with respect to the centre of the fan opening (4) and supported by two sets of circumferential fastenings (7a, 7b), with one set (7a) at the centre and the other, spring loaded set (7b) near the outer edge. ADVANTAGE - Fan blind of the slatted type which is particularly suited to the requirements of a ring fan.
