<p>The invention concerns a rapamycin compound of formula <CHEM> wherein x is zero or l; and when x is zero the <CHEM> group is bonded to the oxygen attached to position 31 and when x is l, R represent a group <CHEM> A represents -(CH2)n-, -(CH2)n-(CH=CH)-(CH2)m-, -(CH2)n-(-C IDENTICAL C-)-(CH2)m-, <CHEM> wherein n and m independently represent 1 to 10 providing that when x is O then neither n nor m is l, and further when x is l,A also represents <CHEM> or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, which is by virtue of their immunosuppressive activity are useful in treating transplantation rejection host vs. graft disease, autoimmune diseases, and diseases of inflammation.</p> |
