An apparatus for producing braided reinforcement for tubular conduits such as hose is disclosed. The reinforcement is characterized by a three over, three under braid pattern. The apparatus comprises a Maypole type braider wherein each driver of the braider includes six pockets to accommodate carrier spindles, and the number of carriers is three times the number of drivers. The invention provides a braided product which can be produced at lower cost with increased output. |
