PURPOSE:To provide a new fluorinated compound containing two kinds of double bonds having different reactivity and useful as a monomer for the synthesis of a fluorine-containing polymer. CONSTITUTION:The compound of formula I (n is 1-3), i.e. 3,3,4,5,6,6,6 heptafluoro-1,4-hexadiene (n=1), 3,3,4,4,5,6,7,7,7=nonafluoro1,5-heptadiene (n=2) and 3,3,4,4,5,5,6,7,8,8,8-undecafluoro1,6-octadiene (n=3). The compound can be produced by the isomerization reaction of a fluorinated compound of formula II with a metal fluoride in a polar solvent. The compound can be used as a starting material for a fluorinecontaining polymer soluble in a specific solvent having cyclic structure in the main chain or a fluorine-containing polymer having cross-linking site composed of a double bond in the molecule. The double bond of the compound can be converted into another functional group. |
