PURPOSE:To obtain space apparatus constituted of a heat resistant material excellent in heat resistance and oxidation resistance in an environment of a superhigh temperature oxidative atmosphere or the like in the field of space apparatus such as a space shuttle and its manufacturing method. CONSTITUTION:In a ceramics coated carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite, a carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite as a heat resistant material is used as a substrate 1, and the surface is coated with a heat resistant film 2a for environmental isolation. The heat resistant film 2a for environmental isolation contains a film 3 of carbide forming elements, an oxide ceramics film 4, a ceramics packing material 5 and a high reflectivity film 6. A ceramics coated carbon fiber reinforced carbon composite with high reflectivity excellent in heat resistance, thermal impact resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, adhesion with a substrate or the like and its manufacturing method are obtd. |
