PURPOSE:To automatically recovering discharging when a head cartridge is mounted, thereby to solve the troublesome task for the recovery and to improve the recording quality. CONSTITUTION:When a head cartridge 9 is mounted to a carriage 11 and locked as an operating level 15 is pressed down, a protrusion of a hook 629 depresses a switch terminal of a microswitch 631 a to turn on the switch. As a result, in accordance with an instruction from a control device, the discharging operation is automatically restored by a discharging/restoring device. |
