PURPOSE:To provide a method for manufacturing a rare-earth magnet powder whose powder grain diameter is equal to 20mum or more and 500mum or less whose main phase is a compound including R (R is a rare-earth element including Sm), iron, and nitrogen at a ratio of 2:17:x (x is equal to 1 or more and equal to 3 or less), its bond magnet, and its rare-earth magnet powder. CONSTITUTION:After a micro crystal particle alloy consisting of a compound which includes R and iron in a ratio of 2:17 is crushed to 20mum or more add 500mum or less, nitriding treatment is performed in a nitrogen atmosphere. After that, a uniform heat treatment is performed within an inactive gas or vacuum thus enabling nitrogen atom which intruded into a surface of a powder at the time of nitriding treatment to be diffused to an entire powder and obtaining a powder with a uniform nitrogen concentration over the entire powder and a large grain diameter. Use of a powder with a large powder grain diameter and a uniform nitrogen concentration allows a high-characteristic bond magnet with a higher concentration than before to be manufactured. |
