PURPOSE:To attain excellent zooming control without prolonging an unnecessary zooming time while the miniaturization of a lens barrel is maintained, without making the driving capacity of a focus lens large. CONSTITUTION:This lens position controller is provided with zoom lens group driving means 109 and 112 moving a zoom lens group 102 in an optical axis direction, to vary a power, focus lens group driving means 107 and 110 moving a focus lens group 105 in the optical axis direction, to adjust a focus, a zoom lens group position detecting means 113 detecting the moving position of the focus lens group 102, a focus lens group position detecting means 115 detecting the moving position of the focus lens group 105, and a control means 119 inputting detection information from respective lens position detecting means 113 and 115, judging that a position where the driving speed of the focus lens group driving means 107 and 110 is made fast, is obtained, and reducing a driving quantity per an unit hour of the zoom lens group driving means 109 and 112. |
