METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETECTING MOVING VECTOR

PURPOSE:To detect a visually appropriate moving vector without the influence of retrieving order by selecting the most similar vector to the adjacent moving vector in a periphery when there are plural vectors which take the minimum value of the evaluation function value. CONSTITUTION:A comparator 3 compares the present minimum value with the minimum value outputted from a minimum value recording part 4 recording the present minimum value and judges whether the new one is smaller than the present one or the new one is equal to the present one. The moving vector corresponding to the minimum value judged by the comparator 3 is recorded in a candidate vector storing part 5 as the candidate moving vector. A selecting equipment 6 selects the vector which is the most similar to the moving vector recorded in a periphery block moving vector recording part 7 from the candidate vectors inside the candidate moving vector recording part 5 so as to output it as the moving vector 8.
