PURPOSE:To give stable, uniform emission to a planar fluorescent tube and reduce noise by supplying the sine wave output of an inverter to the planar fluorescent tube and controlling the operation and stop of the inverter at a preset duty ratio. CONSTITUTION:A planar fluorescent tube 13 is lit in a sine wave which is created for a transformer winding 113b in an inverter 11 with an input signal Q, whose levels H, L are changed, input in a control circuit 12 in the inverter 11 at a preset duty ratio. During the period that the signal Q is at the level L, the output of 113b rests. In this way, stable, uniform emission is given to the fluorescent tube by the output of the inverter 11 with the resting section and less high frequency components and less noise can be achieved because the output waveform is a sine wave. |
