Improvements in slings for entirely immobilising the upper limbs. The improvements comprise providing a suspension strap to prevent tilting of the scapula forming a loop of greater height than the belt suspending the shoulders. The laminar part comprising the sling has a raised portion in the posterior third thereof corresponding to the neck support and the straps comprise a generally knitted polyamide fabric which has a combed surface and detachable reinforcement at the edges. <IMAGE>
