MANUFACTURE OF LEAD-ACID BATTERY

PURPOSE:To provide a battery of little self-discharge, and excellent in adhesiveness between a grid member and an active material in manufacture of an electrode plate for a lead-acid battery. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a grid member is cleaned with a surfactant solution so that an oil content stuck to the surface of the grid member by casting or expanding can be cleaned and removed. A paste-like active material is then filled. Consequently, adhesiveness between the grid member and an interface of the active material can be improved, thus providing an electrode plate and a battery of little self-discharge.
