<p>PURPOSE:To keep separating performance in a frictional separation system and to prevent the surface of a copy from being stained by toner, etc. CONSTITUTION:In the both-side paper feeding device of the frictional separation system in which a transfer paper 8 fed from a both-side tray 15 by a paper feeding means 29 is separated by a separation roller pair being a feeding roller 42 and a fixed reversing roller 47 and fed, the roller 47 is intermittently turned by a fixed amount by a turning means 55 and the new part of the roller 67 is successively brought into contact with the roller 42 in a nip part between them, so that the separating performance is kept, while a cleaner member 62 is provided to contact with the surface of the roller 47 and stain such as the toner adhering to the surface of the roller 47 is removed by the member 62 during one rotation, and the surface of the roller 47 is kept as clean as an initial state when it contacts with the roller 42 in the nip part between them again, thereby performing sure separating actions without staining the surface of the transfer paper 8.</p> |
